The Beginning.

"Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your Name and Renown are the desire of our hearts." -Isaiah 26:8

"Who may ascend the hill of the LORD? Who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift his soul to an idol or swear by what is false...such is the generation of those who see Him who seek your face, O God of Jacob." -Psalm 24:3-4, 6

This past weekend was Dnow at the church I work at. For those who are unfamiliar with Dnow, It is a weekend packed with excitement with which the attendees usually suffer from sleep deprivation :)…

The Lord moved in such an incredible way.It really is hard to express in words.

We had ninety kids participate throughout the weekend.

The Spirit was present. The brokenness was great. Hearts were stirred and set on fire.

Three received Christ—students who had grown up in church.
They grew up knowing about Jesus, but had never known Him.
They were so broken. I wish you could have seen their eyes afterwards.
It was like they had been opened for the first time.

Four surrendered to serve in fulltime Christian Ministry.
That brings the total in our student ministry to eighteen who have surrendered to that calling.

The students are inredible.
Their passion is great. Yet their zeal is not without knowledge.
Our student are hungry for the Word.
They aren't satisfied with being entertained. They hunger and thirst for righteousness.
They want to grow. They want to know Jesus more deeply each day than they did the last.
They want to make Him known in this world especialy among their generation.

But we are not the exception.
These things are happening across the nation.

I may be stupidly optimistic.
But I am convinced... that these days are the kindling of an awakening that will one day sweep across this nation.

God is at work in our generation of that I am certain.
He is Mighty to Save!

"The LORD your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." -Zephaniah 3:17
